After electroslag remelting, the steel has uniform material, excellent cutting and polishing properties, and has better isotropy and excellent toughness compared to traditional steels. It is a high-quality steel used in cars for high-polished mirror lamp molds and plastic mold steel (auto parts mold).
MC1.2344 mold steel has similar performance to imported DIN 1.2344 steel, can withstand long-term use and multiple hot and cold shocks, and is not easy to wear. This is especially important for automotive headlight molds, because headlight molds need to frequently contact and mold high-temperature plastic or metal materials. Molds with good wear resistance can extend service life and reduce replacement frequency.
