ETFE Building Constructure Transparent UV Resistance Membrane

   ETFE film material is composed of ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer, which is a transparent film material without fabric substrate, and its elongation can reach 420% ~ 440%. The transmittance spectrum of ETFE film material is similar to that of glass (commonly known as soft glass).

   Suitable for building roofs or walls that require sufficient indoor sunlight. ETFE film materials allow large elastic deformation, but creep extension will occur, so it is not suitable for the space membrane surface of tensile structure system with resistance requirements.
With light weight and excellent light transmission performance, the weight is about 1/100 of the same size glass plate, can be used as the need for light transmission of building roof and wall.

  1) The transmittance spectra of ETFE film material and glass are basically the same, with high ultraviolet transmittance and visible light transmittance >95%. The light and ultraviolet transmittance can be adjusted and controlled by surface printing shading film and changing film thickness. The transmittance can be controlled between 50% and 96%.
2) The allowable ambient temperature for long-term use is -200 ~ 150℃.
3) In the fire environment, after reaching the melting point, there will be a melting hole. The boundary of the melting hole will burn and spread, but it does not produce open flame and will not drip. According to our GB8624 "building materials combustion performance classification Method" is classified as B1 grade refractory materials.
4) When the ETFE film material is made into an air coating surface with an isolated air layer, it has good thermal insulation performance.
5) ETFE film material has good chemical stability and corrosion resistance.
6) The ultimate tensile strength of ETFE membrane material is above 40MPa. When it is below 20MPa, the membrane material presents an elastic state, allowing folding, and has good tearing resistance.
7) Excellent weather resistance, long time exposure test shows that its mechanical properties have no change.
8) The manufacturer's warranty period of ETFE film material is 10 years, and the actual service life can exceed 20 years.
9) The surface of the film is smooth, resistant to dust and dirt erosion, and has good self-cleaning in the rain. In addition, the film surface has good impact toughness against hail.
10) After the ETFE film exceeds the service life, it can be recycled, reintegrated, or hot melted into granular raw materials.
